“Old West Station, Tunbridge Wells”– watercolour after Geoff Kersey approx. size 32 cm x 27 cm
“Cottages, Shingle Street, Suffolk”– watercolour after Geoff Kersey approx. size 30 cm x 25 cm
“Green Eyed Cat” – this was done during a tutored session at WAG. Barbara is probably her own worst critic but even she approved of this. A super piece of work. This really shows the benefit of being brave with dark colours (or tone)
“Magnolia” – watercolour. This was given as a get well gift to one of Barbara’s friends. I’m sure that it cheered them up no end……beautifully done.
“Lady with Lace Collar” – 30cm x 20cm approx – watercolour. In the style of Stina Persson.
“The Blue Vase” after Daphne Ellman – approx 35cm x 25cm – watercolour. This is is the second version of this subject and I feel that each of them has its own merit.
“Irises and Kingfisher” (after Marie Low nineteenth century artist) – approx 22cm x 32cm – Watercolour and Gouache – My most ambitious painting to date. It was copied from a Mother’s Day card I received many years ago. I have always loved the picture but never, in my wildest dreams, thought I would paint it one day. My thanks to Elise and David for without their help and encouragement I would not have achieved this result.
